Now first don't get my rating wrong. I love this picture. I just rated it as accurate as I could using the options given to me.

Your use of sprites from the games was well thought out and placed evenly and fairly. The technique of turning a 2D sprite into a 3D polygon is very impressive. It's something that all 3D modelers should learn to do early on.

You could potentially improve it by making the platform they are standing on more bold and vibrant to allow it to stand out a bit more. Not by much but just enough to make it pop.

I think Link being in the centre of it makes it look out of place. Even though it ties the two sides together it just doesn't look like it should be there. Perhaps giving him his own little army or just removing his would make it a bit better.

I hope this critique is somewhat helpful.

Nope, they are CG Models I created in Cinema 4D. No one has ever brought that up, but I can see it in a few of them now that you mention it.

Awesome! I always enjoy 3D pixel art and this is a neat concept. The use of color really helps the piece too. I would say that the Mario side seems to appear slightly more onscreen than the Mega Man side. Link, at first, seemed like a good concept as a referee or something. However, since Mario and Mega Man are shooting, Link's presence is almost unnecessary. One thing I might like to see are more regular enemies on the Mega Man side like some Metools. Mario has the goomabs and Koopas, so it'd help give more balance.

I wanted to keep it more like Mario has many allies but not overly powerful ones, while MegaMan has few allies but more powerful ones.

Yes, the presence of Link and/or what he should be doing has been mentioned a lot. There were several different things I did for the center, but ultimately this is what I decided on. Thanks for the input!
